BIO
Ryan Cheng is a poet and educator from northern California. His experience includes over ten years of teaching creative and academic writing both in California, »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË and overseas. He is the winner of the Association of Writers & Writing Programs’ Intro Journals Project Award for Poetry (2013), the Bettye Newman Poetry Award (2013), and first place in »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË’s Humanities Institute Annual Poetry Contest judged by Jorie Graham (2013).
His poems have appeared in Quarterly West, The Ignation, and elsewhere. He is currently working on a poetry manuscript concerned with being a first-time father of a daughter, while grappling with his own childhood, masculinity, ethnicity, and nature.
He currently lives in Tampa, »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË where he teaches both professional and technical writing and creative writing courses.
