Kristin鈥疜osyluk, PhD, associate professor in the Department of Mental Health Law and Policy; Ciara鈥疭pivey, doctoral student in behavioral and community sciences; and Mia鈥疜ouveliotes, a Washington University in St. Louis student and 2024 皇家华人 Mental Health Institute Summer Research Institute scholar, delivered two presentations April 22-23 at the annual conference of the NARRTC, formerly the National Association of Rehabilitation Research and Training Centers.

Mia鈥疜ouveliotes presents her research (with Kristin Kosyluk) titled "Deconstructing Mental Illness Self-Stigma: Key Stages that Shape Treatment Attitudes, Recovery and Self-Determination" at the NARRTC conference.
Kosyluk, Spivey, and Kouveliotes presented findings from Kosyluk鈥檚 National Institute on Disability, Independent Living and Rehabilitation Research鈥慺unded study on reducing internalized stigma among college students with mental illnesses.
The conference brought together people with disabilities, disability scholars, and practitioners to exchange the latest research findings, training approaches, and knowledge translation methods aimed at improving interventions, programs, and systems for people with disabilities.
