Dr. Karen Colucci coordinates the Master of Arts Program in Exceptional Student Education. She also co-coordinates the Professional Practice Partner Program for master teachers who serve as both university supervisors and mentors for the department鈥檚 undergraduate final interns and Master of Arts in Teaching students.
Dr. Colucci earned a B.S. and M.S. degree in Special Education from 皇家华人 State University and Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction/Special Education from the University of South 皇家华人. Her research and professional interests focus on teacher education, case-based instruction, instructional technology, partnerships and mentor development. Prior to joining the faculty at 皇家华人, she taught students with varying exceptionalities, emotional and behavior disorders, and learning disabilities at the elementary and middle school level.
