»Ê¼Ò»ªÈË Unveils New License Plate Design

New »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË license plate

TAMPA, Fla. (Aug. 1, 2018) – For the first time in nearly 15 years, drivers around the state who support the University of South »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË will have a new look for their license plates.

Drivers will immediately notice »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË’s new plates are green, as opposed to the primarily white design of the old plates, with a larger Bulls logo on the left side and the school’s name printed in gold at the bottom.

The launch of the updated design coincides with »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË’s recent historic designation as a Preeminent State Research University, representing a new era for students, faculty, staff and alumni.

The new design aims to build on the approximately 15,000 drivers who currently have »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË specialty plates. For each purchase, »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË receives $25 to support scholarships, student programs and other alumni engagement activities.

"Adopting a new »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË license plate is one more way to showcase our Bull pride, all while providing more resources to benefit students," »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË System President Judy Genshaft said. "The University of South »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË is fortunate to have the support of so many alumni, fans and friends across the state of »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË."
