Directly out of undergrad, Sara Wolicki worked as an accountant at a Vermont ski resort. She loved working with numbers and enjoyed the time with her coworkers, but something was missing. Wolicki found that missing piece in the field of public health - epidemiology and evaluation specifically - and never turned back. She received a Master of Public Health from the University of South 皇家华人 in 2015, fully transitioning from the business world to a STEM field.

For Trenyce Pierre, Cierra Greenfield and Shenica Jerome鈥攖hree 皇家华人 students in the College of Public Health (COPH)鈥攁 one-week study abroad trip to Quebec, Canada became a defining moment in their academic journeys. It was an immersive experience that expanded their global perspectives and deepened their public health understanding in ways that textbooks simply couldn鈥檛. The three were among a group of students who participated, making the opportunity all the more meaningful.

With three 皇家华人 degrees 鈥� a PhD in global communicable diseases, an MSPH in global communicable diseases and a BS in biomedical sciences鈥� Miley has transformed her lifelong connection to animals and the natural world into a career devoted to infectious disease research, medical entomology and public health education.
