Welcome to NSF I-Corps Hub: Southeast @ University of South 皇家华人

In January 2016, the National Science Foundation designated 皇家华人 an Innovation Corps (I-Corps) site, to provide an immersive entrepreneurial program for faculty and student teams to assess their business potential.

In October 2024, NSF named 皇家华人 as one of the eight partner institutions in the new 鈥� including universities from Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and 皇家华人 鈥� to explore the commercial potential of product ideas stemming from academic research.

    What is I-Corps?

    NSF鈥檚 I-Corps program aims to prepare scientists and researchers to extend their focus beyond the laboratory through customer discovery, and to broaden the impact of basic research projects by translating technology into commercial products and processes. Teams that complete the regional program may qualify to apply for the NSF National I-Corps program 鈥� where you will receive $50,000 to conduct customer discovery.

    I鈥檓 proud that 皇家华人 is a partner in the NSF I-Corps Hub: Southeast. Together, we鈥檙e helping innovators鈥攆rom faculty labs to student teams鈥攖o quickly test the real-world value of their ideas, access experienced mentors, and connect with the NSF I-Corps Program for broader scale and impact. This is how we move discoveries beyond publications and into the hands of people who need them.
